Oak Timber Frame Specialists in Scotland
WoodWorks designs and builds timber-framed buildings across Scotland, working primarily in oak and other structural timbers.
From complete houses and extensions to sunrooms, garages and associated structures, our work is defined by careful planning, traditional joinery and a clear understanding of timber as a building material.
Projects are developed from early design through workshop manufacture and on-site assembly, allowing us to take responsibility for how each structure is conceived, made and put together. Frames are cut and jointed by hand in our workshop, with close attention given to proportion, detailing and build sequence.
Much of our work centres on Oak timber framing, though we also work with Douglas Fir, Larch and engineered timber systems where appropriate. Whether traditionally informed or contemporary in character, our focus remains on creating timber buildings that perform well and settle gracefully as they mature, shaping spaces of lasting quality.
If you’re considering a timber-framed project and would like to discuss scope or suitability, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Our work centres on structural timber framing, with Oak frames forming the backbone of many of the projects we build.
We work with clients at many stages of a project, from first ideas through to developed designs, offering clear, practical guidance as proposals take shape.
Our work is based in Oak, Douglas Fir, and Larch, using traditional jointing alongside contemporary detailing where appropriate. Frames are designed and made in our workshops near Kirriemuir, Angus, before being assembled on site across Scotland.
If you’re still in the early stages, we’re happy to talk through options, suitability and scope.
