Crafting Oak Timber Frames in Scotland

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND DEDICATION

oak timber joinery craftsmanship

Here at WoodWorks, we are incredibly passionate about our craft. The shared drive to create beautiful timber framed spaces inspires a dedication to excellence.

With years of diverse experience, our carpenters have worked on projects ranging from charming residential extensions to striking commercial buildings, refining our expertise in design, carpentry, and project management.

We are extremely proud of our roots in traditional timber framing. Our carpenters have taken the time to master the traditional craft of scribe rule timber framing.

EXPERIENCED AND FOCUSED

Drawing from nearly 50 years of timber framing carpentry experience, our team knows what it takes to turn out work that is nothing short of spectacular.

Having deep seated knowledge of the timber we work and the joints we design in to the frame, our focus is on the finished product from the outset.

Our attention to detail is second to none. As each of our projects are unique, they have our sole focus.

From timber selection through to glazing, and finishings, we take pride in the spaces we create.

TAILOR-MADE SOLUTIONS

Working on projects throughout Scotland.

We are a profit sharing business. The projects we work on cannot come to fruition without the skills, hard-work and camaraderie of our fantastic carpenters. Each and every person involved in our projects share a passion for what we do, settling for nothing but the best. If we were not happy with it in our house, we are not happy with it in your house. We enjoy what we do and that shows in the meticulous quality of the work produced. Each person in the business brings their own unique set of skills, talents, knowledge & experience, placing WoodWorks in the best place to bring your project to life.

We are a member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association, keen to work with sustainable materials as much as possible. Helping you to create beautiful spaces without adding more burden onto our planet.

As a member of the Carpenter's Fellowship we are constantly growing and learning. Networking with timber framer's throughout the UK, expanding on our knowledge base, and building a resource for architects, specifiers, carpenters and potential clients alike.

Whatever stage you are at with your project we would love to hear from you.

We specialise in green Oak timber framed buildings, extensions and renovations.

Working with timber is our passion. Whether it's locally sourced Larch or Douglas Fir, traditionally jointed with mortice and tenons, held together with hand drawn pegs, or engineered timbers like Glulams or CLT fixed with flitch plates, we have the best team in Scotland ready to take on any challenge.

All from our workshops near Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland.

"WoodWorks Bespoke Carpentry have skilled craftsmen who are hardworking and pay close attention to detail, which shows in the end result. They are reliable, pleasant to deal with and are good at communicating during the build process. They managed the construction well and the building they produced is excellent."
