OUTDOOR LIVING
Outdoor spaces can be extended and adapted through well-considered timber structures, creating sheltered, usable areas that support how a space is used throughout the year. Our outdoor work ranges from decks and pergolas to garden rooms, studios, and other freestanding structures.
Each project begins with an understanding of how the space will be used and how the structure should sit within its surroundings. Where a garden designer is involved, we work closely with them to ensure the carpentry integrates naturally with the wider landscape. Where no designer is appointed, we develop a clear design proposal before work begins.
Some outdoor buildings, particularly enclosed garden rooms, require planning permission or a building warrant. We regularly work alongside architects and consultants at this stage and can help advise on the appropriate route where required.

Garden Room constructed with BothyStores
We have experience delivering bespoke outdoor structures across Scotland, including garden rooms, offices, studios, pergolas, gazebos, and covered seating areas. As with our larger buildings, material choice, detailing, and proportion are considered from the outset to ensure the finished structure feels appropriate to its setting and performs well over time.
